Eiffel Tower at twilight

Itinerary

Paris Weekend Itinerary (2–3 Days)

A realistic short Paris stay focusing on one museum, one icon, and walkable quartiers—not every monument in 48 hours.

Verify before you go: Confirm details with official sources.

Day 1 — Left Bank and icons

Morning: Latin Quarter walk through Luxembourg Gardens toward Pantheon exterior. Pick one deep museum (Cluny medieval collection) or keep exterior-focused if museum fatigue is a risk.

Afternoon: Eiffel Tower timed ascent or free Champ de Mars viewpoint if skipping elevator queues. Seine walk toward Trocadéro photos.

Evening: Saint-Germain-des-Prés café dinner—reservations help on weekends.

Day 2 — Louvre or Orsay plus Marais

Morning: Choose Louvre (broad) or Musée d'Orsay (Impressionist focus)—not both. Pre-book timed entry.

Afternoon: Marais wandering—Place des Vosges, Jewish quarter history, Centre Pompidou if modern art preferred over morning choice.

Evening: Canal Saint-Martin picnic if weather allows, or bistro near your hotel arrondissement.

Optional Day 3 — Montmartre or Versailles

Option A: Sacré-Cœur early, Montmartre artists' square, vineyard pocket of Clos Montmartre. Metro to Abbesses or Anvers.

Option B: RER C to Versailles Palace timed ticket—half day minimum; return for relaxed shopping on Champs-Élysées only if energy remains.

Depart with buffer for CDG/Orly transfers—see our CDG transport guide for mode comparison.
